Your gain curve (in the video) is too extreme. That steep of a rise from center will lead to instability every time. BTW, you can hit the “reset motors” on the debug tab to recover from a motor fault without having to power cycle the Rhino.

The sliders dont really matter unless:
- you enable the corresponding effect in the effects tab (which you don’t)
- a game starts one of those effects (DCS does not use any of those effects)
- you enable the friction/damper/inertia overrides in TelemFFB.

Hello , the Joystick VPforce app says "Force Trim Enabled but buttons not configured , using the hp160 helicopter and the hardware trim and msfs trim seem ok ? but that ! mark on msfs symbol and the error message What buttons arn't configured? Cheers. SOLVED : The buttons config in telemffb , not showing up when VP was also opened. closed VP software then was able to see and configure Trim reset and trim release buttons.

I am left handed ,will I have any problem using vkb gunfighter mk iv MCG?
Is there any modification for left handed people?
Does MCG pro is enough with
Rhino ffb base or it will bent with heavy loads- joystick pulls, should I buy MCG ultimate? I see the last one is much more heavy and I am concerned if I will suffer from

* Well I'm right handed but if I even glance a picture of MCG it's clear to me that it can't be used with the left hand.

* No. MCG Ultimate has basically the same parts where the maximum stress is; so it probably breaks at the same load MCG would. I have owned both versions and opened them up. In any case the plastic VKB adapter will always break long before the grip would - which is a good thing because it is easy to replace
* You are right about the significance of grip weight! However, Ultimate is not that heavy; I'm using one with a 10 cm extension right now. With say 20 cm you'd want to use balance spring and ARC and you will notice its higher inertia. RL grips are made light for a reason.

I will just chime in re: left-handed MCG grip, other replies are already excellent. There is no official way of using the MCG in the left, but if you are really asking about modifications, then sure DIY this is quite plausible. It requires removing the right thumb's thumbstick area, which is electronically possible because of the separate PCB and JST plug. So doable, but not a beginner mod.

Hi - Newbie here. Yesterday, I plugged in my new Rhino and tried to launch DCS (latest update 2.9.7.58923). Never had any trouble until yesterday. DCS just sits at the "15-Year" screen and won't go any further. When I unplug the Rhino, it launches perfectly fine. So, my hunch is that it has something to do with the way the Rhino is interfacing with DCS. Has anyone seen this and found a solution? I would be very grateful for any guidance. Thanks!
UPDATE: just got a message from DCS support team telling me that it probably has something to do with my Rhino and to make sure that my joystick drivers (Rhino firmware??? - I am already running 1.0.16) are updated and to disable the FFB in the driver settings (shouldn't FFB be ENABLED in DCS Misc menu?)

Probably there's some resource conflict within the OS, hard to tell. I would go unplugging them one by one and see when DCS is able to enumerate the Rhino properly. How about replugging the Rhino USB with DCS running? DCS has hotplug support, it should detect the event and re-enumerate the Rhino.

I didn't realize we had such a problem for us lefthanded people! So what are the possible grips generaly a lefthanded player can put on a rhino vpforce ( vkb, thrustmasters, virpil, what else? ), I think virpil mongoose is suitable but only secondhand if I am not wrong...is there somewhere to get a new one?

The issue noted in this discussion (📃general) happened again. I had powered off my PC for about an hour. After powering it back on (Rhino had been powered the whole time) and started the configuration, all values showed as the factory defaults (master, spring, damping, inertia, at 100, 30, 30, 30 respectively)

If the configuration tool is running, the values remain the customized values. I do have telemFFB loading a custom profile, but only for the F18. However, this happened without TFFB or DCS running.

This leads me to believe telemFFB is loading a configuration file to the controller and when you press "load config" it loads the values last stored in flash and sends them to the configurator app.

When you push a profile from TelemFFB, it will persist on the device unless you load a profile with another aircraft or you have the "global default" set with a startup profile in TelemFFB system settings. There is also an option to push a profile when you close TelemFFB to leave the device in your preferred "inactive" state...

Hi, I recently received a motor kit for the Rhino base. Unfortunately the board does not seem to work. I checked the pins on the board. There is power at the 19.8 V at GND and PWR IN and also at the motor outputs. But there is no sound, USB does not show up on the computer and when I measure the 5V output at the 5-pin JST plug (> Joystick Buttons) then there is nothin. At the 3V Pin of AUX-SW port I found 0,68 V. Any ideas?

If you're talking about the E, you need to enable the force feedback option in its special settings.

Most likely you are just experiencing poor interaction between how we do autopilot following and the AP implementation in that aircraft. Most aircraft are fine, but some just don't like it.

This is with the default XP12 Baron? I'll see if I can reproduce.

The usual issue is that we react to the elevator/aileron servo telemetry and move the stick accordingly, but the sim has no idea that you the user is not pushing on the stick. So if the AP moves the servo forward and we react, this adds down elevator to the axis, which the AP then tries to correct with aft movement of the servo, we react.. round and round in circles we go.

Its one of the big issues with trying to do FFB outside of the sim when the sim has no idea whats going on.

This is actually how we handle trimming and is what the physical/virtual sliders are for in TelemFFB. Autopilot following is a bit more simplistic though.

Haven't gotten around to revisiting the AP following yet to see if it can be improved.

Hi there, I forgot to get the Winwing adapter when I paid for my Rhino. Only realised when I came to connect my F16ex stick, so currently using my old TM Warthog stick.

Couple of questions.

1. Can I order the adapter separately and is it easy to fix, I’m useless at anything mechanical, wife says I can’t even build a IKEA Bookcase.

2. IF I do put the adapter in, will I still be able to swap and use my TM Hornet and Virpil F14 sticks without taking everything apart each time I swap the sticks over?

Hey m8 if you wan to take the front panel off (panel on the same side as estop) you can see the estop & check that the wires are still connected, they are not soldered on the have ?connectors, it's possible they have come loose.
