ZPersonally, nah. They go for the least effort route. "If the file is there, use it" approach. No need to reinvent the wheel

Pi wouldn't say bazzite is doing anything wrong but other people would see fit to abuse this
AJust booted my device, as far as I can tell, overriding the suspend animation is not supported by steam.

ASo since bazzite is overriding the suspend animation, the user would need to manually alter the files to change it back
ZIn theory this could be done with a service that triggers only the first time Bazzite boots

RAnother weird observation in all of this is what happens if I replace the oled_startup.webm file from the steamui-folder to the deck_startup.webm one within uioverrides. Then the “correct” Steam startup plays, naturally, but it plays at 2x size for some reason. Making it appear pixelated and ‘blown up’

CTesting all morning, on my particular setup, ROG Ally X running latest Bazzite update (or any of the most recent builds which I tried rebasing to) audio is unusable over HDMI after waking from sleep.
I've tried using the decky plug in 'pause games' which did not help, and I've poked around with a few different pulseaudio / pipewire settings reccomended online for similar issues. No good.
Could it be connected to the dock I'm using? Or the HDMI cable itself? Is that even possible if it works fine from a fresh boot?

CSo how do I fix the problem
Pwake from sleep problems are usually a matter of platform support, unfortunately these devices are already unstable coming out of sleep so you'll have to use trial and error if you want something to point at specifically

Punfortunately it's not unheard of for an outlet like Argos to accidentally get their hands on some suspicious stock when it comes to Micro SDs
CIt seems fine if only using the Ally handheld, so it's has to be something to do with a service resuming from sleep that handles hdmi output. Anywhere you can suggest I start poking around?
