Just popping in to say after 5+ years of testing the Linux waters and always running back to Windows, Bazzite on my Ally X w/ GNOME is what finally made me genuinely enjoy Linux. This has been my daily driver for 2+ weeks now and honestly can't see any reason to go back. I have had zero "actual" issues that didn't have a simple solution.
Hello! They all have their tradeoffs. TN: lowest price and a higher refresh rate, but more washed out colours. IPS: much better colour accuracy, tends to be a bit pricer. VA: kind of in between the two. Honestly, unless you're an actual pro gamer, I'd go for an IPS or VA. Refresh rates and response times are great on an IPS or VA monitor these days
Heyo, I'm using the latest version of bazzite and have pairing issues with DS4 controllers, which after a lot of digging is because of a bug in bluez that was only fixed in the most recent release 5.77. Brazzite currently has 5.76... any way to upgrade to 5.77?
oh just to add to this, VA monitors have really good contrast, which is why I got mine - I was doing work at the time that needed colour accuracy and contrast. I'd say go with IPS if you don't need high contrast for work
it was endeavour that only lasted the afternoon actually! I've really enjoyed nobara, its just things like sunshine work out of the box with bazzite, and nobara's updates have been a bit messy as of late, which pushed me back here
