tbh I think Valve's window of opportunity to get SteamOS on other handhelds is slowly disappearing.

other manufacturers are now heavily investing in Windows GUIs, Microsoft also probably isn't sitting still, and you have other options like Playtron slowly being worked on in the background

I don't think they did, Windows is still Windows. The silver bullet for SteamOS is gamescope. Maybe Microsoft will develop an equivalent, wouldn't hold my breath
