DSo brew doesn't work in bash scripts launched from application menu such as those from WinApps

Dthat line in bashrc or bash_profile makes brew packages available to be used by those scripts

ZBesides, brew or programs installed with it are only added to PATH in bash interactive sessions (aka a terminal)
