Besides, brew or programs installed with it are only added to PATH in bash interactive sessions (aka a terminal)

Brew is mainly targeted to CLI tools so yeah. Though you can bypass that by sourcing brew.sh

Alright sorted that works better. I've updated the guide to include options for each package that needs to be installed. @Zeglius Thanks for the help. I wish we had a flowchart for when to use the different package managers :p
