I tried the first one, for instance:

distrobox-enter -n bazzite-arch -- '  distrobox-export --app steam'

and it lead to this output:

Fixed by running them separately:

Ah, I hid the original Steam by editing the desktop file. So I guess technically it's still installed, but it's hidden.

I've only seen it in a particular game so far, though - in Witcher 3 for example it follows the FPS pretty much perfectly.

For my LG C2, there is VRR info in the OSD. It shows if VRR is enabled, and the refresh rate fluctuates and does not stay fixed.

If your perf overlay is something similar, it should be the same way I would think. As in, if the refresh rate is not moving at all, VRR is not working.
