THow plug and play is the VP base? I fly IL2 Great battles DCS and Warthunder is there going to be alot of setup time involved in these games or am I going to be able to enjoy the Rhino with little time and effort?
CYes you just need the adapter and it works as normal. The VP base takes a little setup to get right, so more than just a true plug and play. But I found it more intuitive than the VKB software. You can tune it exactly to your like, so if you can use VKB software it shouldnt be an issue to use the rhino.
Telemffb is worth installing as it provides more and better effects than IL2 and DCS provide natively. Once you have it all set up, it is an experience like no other.

CAlso I would worry about the loop back software for the VKB grip. I saw it on the manual the first time I set it up. I have never needed it.
TI'm not sure if i need or want the thow limiter that walmis offers? I currently use the VKB gunfighter with MCG grip that has the 8inch extension I'm very happy with the throw amount that I currently have with the gunfighter I'm not sure what distance that is though so does anyone have any advice?
TI think I will be using the 8inch extension I have witht he Rhino so I dunno if I need throw limited or not
Fyou can get a limiter afterwards or just limit the throw via software afterwards
DI have a 10cm extension and I limit via the soft (configurator)

Tsorry guys one more question do I need the purchase the upgrade machined aluminum grip mount? is it necessary to have the metal for larger extensions or is this just something people wanted to make them feel better?

I and most other users have never had a problem. That said, if it had been an option when I ordered SN#85.. I would have, because... why not.

BI did just that, but printed a new one the day before my alu replacement showed up, still haven't mounted that.
The reason I mangled mine was trying to tweak my z extension slipping, not seeing how it actually had grub screws to fix that.
And I kept trying to mount it while sitting in the pit, with the thing between my legs and the extension still having the grip on.
If you take the rhino out and do this on the work bench or kitchen etc this would not be an issue.
That doesn't hurt to have aluminium one either.

FI'd say get the aluminium adapter if you change grips a lot. else it isn't really a necessity.
BI'm still having connection issues with DCS. It has worked a few times but then it won't work for a week. The computer sees the base, its powered on but i don't see it listed in DCS and have no control. Does anyone have any ideas?

Bwhen i restart the computer, with only the winwing throttle and rudder pedals on a powered usb hub and the rhino plugged into the motherboard dcs recognizes it and it works. Once i attempt to connect the other powered usb with the mip the rhino stops working and i have no ac control. I need to disconnect the mip and restart the computer again to get it to work

Nhmm.. sounds like some low level usb bus shenanegans on your motherboard.. well outside my area of knowledge. Only help I can offer, and its not much help at all, is to ensure your MB's usb drivers are updated. Maybe try to figure out how your USB ports are split across busses and test with the hub(s) and/or the rhino on different ones.

KIn the past I had a lot of strange problems with different usb hubs.
Then I decided to attach all things directly to my mainboard and a 5port USB3.1 internal card.
All problems wend away.
Not all usb hubs are evil. But every time some has strange problems with devices, I ask them to try without usb hub and most of the time it was the root cause.

TIt’s also the case that some devices when plugged into a USB hub (together) do best when using a “Powered Hub”.
Lots of those issues I’ve found that come up with most controller types are fixed with the powered hub.
So that’s also a thing you can try

Lim probably being thick and need to do something simple , in dcs in the chinook does it have the trim release before moving the stick ie it then holds the stick in place, i have set the stick to no springs ffb in settings is there a binding im missing for it?

RThere are 2 different binds for trim in chinook. The trim release bind and the cd AFCs release bind. I went ahead and bound the AFCs release as it doesn’t do anything right now. I use teleffb override trim for chinook and added some damper and friction until they get it sorted. Using the actual ingame trim release causes double movement of the center after releasing the button so not ideal.
RI can’t remember the actual name of the other AFCs release.
Lthe telffb is great im inpressed with that but i still havent figured out how to set a force trim in the tffb

UHey guys, I know Walmis is on a much-deserved holiday, but I'm having issues so I thought I'd reach out.
UI'm just now setting up my Rhino after some months, mostly job-life stuff, but also I was waiting to see if I can get a VPC MongoosT-50 CM2, which is the one I really wanted.
I was able to snag one on eBay, brand new. Just received it and now when I attach it to the Rhino I get no button presses, none. Grip is totally dead. Pins in the connector all look good, and I'm sure it's seated correctly.
Plus, I have a TM Wartog setup and both the standard TM grip and my add-on TM F18 grip work perfect when mounted on the Rhino.
Additionally, the VPC grip works perfect on the Wartog base.
