My issue isn't with either of those games in particular, they aren't really my kinda game to begin with. It's the this is where the industry is pushing it
but in ten years the guys who probably just cut their teeth in the industry will just have to re-learn all that raytracing stuff if they don't do it now
I think DLSS upscaling tech is a cool concept it just depends on how the devs take advantage of it of course like on my 4070 I don't really need to use it for the games I play but stuff like on a gaming handheld it is nice to have that option
I think upscaling would be great if the industry used that to let people with older GPUs play newer games. But what's currently happening is studios for putting so little effort into actually optimizing these titles that even current top tier GPUs can't play native
well there's two schools of thought and if developers want to use DLSS that way we can't really stop 'em, all we can do is, as we have done before, wait until we have better hardware to play their titles
