couldn’t you just enable proxying in the dns record? then you could use the ca cloudflare gives you instead of paying for one

also iirc cloudflare can take a while to issue a ca if you’ve just setup a domain

OPTIONS requests arent cacheable by the cdn at all (unless you trick it with a worker but well..) and also you cant run the cdn cache in front of a worker
