In the VP Configurator software , how do I make the blue circle around the joystick indicator dot larger? Cheers.
NTry adding some dampening to see if you can tame it down. I also recommend setting the turbulence setting in MSFS to low... their "realistic" setting is totally over cooked.
NYou cant, but why would you want to? All that circle is is an indication where the current spring center is. What I mean is that the center of that circle is the "spring center". The size of the circle is not indicative of anything.
一FFB pedals perhaps can also give you more max force over regular spring pedals, (while maintaining smoothness), which is ideal for realism. And theoretically, it can simulate aircraft that have pedal shaker for stall warning, like the F14
HDepending on which you are building. The crosswind mod isn‘t build for maximum force actually. The force is comparable to its sprung loaded original - at least I recommend to set it up that way. (max theoretical pedal force is around 10kg).
HOther FFB pedals may be much stronger of course.
HI would put it this way. The force of the Crosswind FFB mod fits square and nicely with the Rhino forces.

HNo, I don’t think the implementation is sophisticated enough for that. You have increasing resistance with airspeed, that’s about it. At least that is my perception.
BAh thats a bummer. I love how the Rhino has really allowed me to feel the limits of control when flying. Like I rarely ever stall the P51 anymore because the stick is just giving me all the info I need.
Coordinated flight is still one thing though, were I have no idea how I'm doing. I just have to stare at a ball on the screen to get any indication of what's going on.... If FFB pedals could also make me understand by feel what's happening with the aircraft, it'd easily move them up to the next upgrade for my kit.

HFull disclosure, I never paid particular attention to slip/skid feeling on the rudder. I only know that rudder ffb is an afterthought at best in DCS.
Beven in most real [light GA props] aircraft you dont feel if you are coordinated in the rudder pedals. you feel most of the coordination in your butt and to a much lesser extent your sight picture. you will feel the effects of torque/p factor/propwash and such in the pedals though.
BAh, well I've got no real flight experience to compare to, nor am I necessarily tying to get the most realistic feel... I've just had my eyes opened to the fact that the Rhino sick can help me understand how the aircraft is performing simply by feel... and sideslip is one aspect where I just can't feel it.

Bbuttkicker isnt the same effect....what you feel is more of a lateral movement...yeah what @Hiob said...motion platform with sway effect
BHaha, alright, motion platform it is 
HButtkicker can only do haptic effects that are more or less unrealistic and just a stand-in to give some kind of feedback. What you need for coordinated flight is acceleration. (6dof would be optimal)

BOh cool, thanks. That was really instructive actually watching his nose move on the hard banks. I might try this exercise, see if I can recreate it, though I don't know if I'll get much out of it tying it in a sim.

Awhenever there is a question of if FFB can do something, it's important to note the difference between the hardware and the software
Athe hardware can do most things that are related to constant forces or vibrations, but the software might simply not provide such things
Aideally the simulator makers would also provide all the FFB stuff, because they have the best data available for the plane or whatever they just modeled
Acurrently the support is mixed and especially for rudders, virtually none, so it's up to telemFFB and the likes

Ayes and it's a very reasonable question, it's just that recently there has understandably been a lot of new people interested in FFB and the question pops up from time to time
Athe technology is just amazing, but the reality is that there is still work to do for the sim makers as well as hardware vendors and software heroes such as telemFFB before the potential is fully realized
Byeah what makes or breaks a good control loaded setup is the software. telemffb seems to be bhe most capable software out there. I havent used Brunners CSL software but i would suspect its close but doesnt have the ear of the 'gaming/simming' community like telemffb does. Not to mention the cost
BIve had my Rhino for 3 days but have been following the progress for a while. I am a pilot for fun irl and professionally a software guy so i really enjoy and appreciate the capabilities that telemffb provides. I must say that after only 3 days of ownership im already planning on either modding my slaw viper rx pedals or building a custom set for control loading. I also have an old PFC yoke that is built like a tank that might make a good testbed for control loaded yoke

Cheers.NWhich heli is giving you trouble? There's no deadzone but you shouldn't need one if you've got things set up so your stick properly centers in the "center circle" when hands off. Use Balance Spring and Adaptive Recentering

IDoes that grip connect to the pin connector in our rhino? All I need is the cyclic to complete my setup. I give up on virpil doing it now that they’re doing the dang civi stuff.

II understood the connector to attach to the base. I didn’t realize that also included the buttons etc.
JThe tweet I shared showed it on a Virpil base, which to me meant they now sold a way to connect to Virpil bases, and use all buttons. 
JWhich by extension, means it would work on Rhino and use all buttons
Ait looks like it'll sorta work how the VKB does, which requires a separate connection and it'll be a separate input device
JYeah, it just depends on how the thing they made works, and interfaces, but on a surface level it does definitely look quite possible to use their cyclics on Rhino which is awesome
JI've not looked into it in depth beyond sharing the tweet and what can be gleaned at a glance because I'm not currently in the market for one. I know it could interest a fair share of people here though and felt it worth sharing
