i find cloudflare's blog posts announcing new features often blur the internal implementation details with the user-facing API in a way that makes it hard to understand exactly waht the DX is

ok, from looking into it a bit more - it does seem like workflows would be a great tool here. but it's just a bit too unstable/immatre to trust at this point. it seems it only just barely works in

Unless you are fine with loads of boilerplate, I'd recommend using a lightweight router of some sort (e.g Hono or itty). They just streamline the routing/matching logic so you can focus on your handlers instead of how to register/match them.

Well I want to make a website and get a domain but I think the free plan on CloudFlare is probably not very good and the other ones are too expensive so I thought of buying a domain on probably Hostinger or another place but if I get more people on my website I would want to switch it to CloudFlare in the future since someone told me it's a pretty good one and Hostinger isn't very good. But basically I would want to transfer the whole domain name to CloudFlare I'm pretty sure

The free plan is fine, so long as you have reasonable expectations for traffic and worker load. If you're not familiar with DNS, and you're only doing this one thing with it, then yes, it probably makes the most sense to just have it all managed within the Cloudflare platform just for simplicity alone.

By the way I'm looking at WordPress right now and it seems extremely limited even with the upgrades and wouldn't Canva be better for making a website template for the visual aspect of the website because I tried making one and it worked pretty well but I would have to buy the Canva subscription to publish it on my own custom domain name but it still seems better for making a website than WordPress since you can customize it more unless I'm missing something?

Only concern at the moment is exception handling in snippets, what’s the best way?

If any type of error occurs in the snippet how would I know and how should I handle it?

In workers, I’d either catch exceptions and log/report or use tail and send to sentry for example. Can also see error analytics in workers/etc.

Sure. Generally speaking: Connect the client to the worker via a DO (https://developers.cloudflare.com/durable-objects/examples/websocket-hibernation-server/) and create another HTTP endpoint for the external endpoint and send it to the DO, which can relay it to all or specific websocket connections.
