Hello, looking at R2 storage does anyone know where the files end up being stored, like if we choose western europe can we find out the city/country. This could help us benchmark the latency. I know with AWS S3 you can choose your region like London. Thanks

not sure about the underlying storage but between all incoming requests and the underlying storage is a Cloudflare Durable Object, which is also what has all the metadata and such, and they can be created in a bunch of locations within the region: https://where.durableobjects.live/region/weur, so the answer is more "not just one and more complicated". No guarantees they stay in exactly the same location if that one has issues either, they'd migrate to another in the same region

What I personally do is use Turnstile with invisible ReCaptcha as fallback if Turnstile for whatever reason fails

I have a domain that was active on the Cloudflare free plan. I have sinced updated the NS to another provider. Cloudflare still shows this domain as 'active'. Is it possible to re-verify show it will show as 'inactive' in Cloudflare?

I cleared cache so it can recollect files, but that was 1 1/2 days ago and its at 36.9%

Looks like the limitation is in a positive manner for you in those cases (both the spanish and german one) thanks to GDPR. The whois privacy is like enabled by default because it's mandatory but not completely sure

Can you try a different network (maybe a phone's cellular network if you have one)? It's possible something on your network is interfering because r2.dev is working fine for me

Public R2.dev isn't recommended for production anyway & has rate limits, Custom Domains with their own certs are instead (or presigned urls on the s3 compat api)

worth correcting my original message: R2.dev isn't recommended for production & it has rate limits. As for technical reasons why, looks like they wanted to encourage caching is one of them: r2 r2 also potentially abuse/etc, easier if everyone is on their own domains
