XXtrying to follow this tutorial and i cant even get passed the first command (im new to linux so idk if this is supposed to be an easy fix or not lol)

ujust install-lact , using copr on ublue distros is a little more complicated than on a normal fedora distroPyou can technically use your own COPRs, but you have to add the
*.repo file (downloaded from copr on the web) to /etc/yum.repos.d and then do sudo rpm-ostree refresh-md --force and then at that point you can just do a regular rpm-ostree install lact. the copr for LACT was just published yesterday for the first time and we just merged a PR to change ujust install-lact to use that instead of the old method of fetching from their github release page. it should be in the next releasePbut tl;dr: use
ujust install-lact

DLACT appears to use nvml APIs to control the frequency offsets and power targets. It doesn’t appear to support setting the voltage so they might need to find another way.
Pto get voltage control you might need to hit the "advanced" toggle above the clock sliders? also idk if you have an integrated gpu on you cpu, but the drop down in the upper left hand corner may be defaulting to your igpu if you're on amd 7xxx or 9xxx

Xi will say that my next GPU is definitely gonna be an AMD card but idk which one i want. i have a 4k monitor (im fine with upscaling) and don't wanna spend a lot of money

Pi know a lot of people are salty on nvidia cards around here, don't necessarily let it get you down. there is a lot better support for AMD but nvidia stuff is coming along really quickly. I think the nvidia support for lact just got added like last week and the LACT maintainer has listed that voltage control isn't possible atm https://github.com/ilya-zlobintsev/LACT/issues/391

Palso: if you are really thinking of switching to an AMD card at some point, it might be worth waiting until CES this year because if the rumor mill is to be trusted, AMD is gonna anounce a ~500-700 USD card that is near the same raster performance as the 7900XTX but with better RT performance, based on same stuff as what just released in PS5 pro
Xoh yeah i think i heard about that recently. i wanna undervolt cuz i was playing ghost of tsushima last night and my GPU was reaching 80⁰C and the performance was throttling down. i have a mini itx case and could get some slim 120mm fans under my GPU if that'll help

PYeah tough problem, I just moved from a mini itx build but when I was still in that case I eventually did the slim fans in bottom approach, it did help a good bit. What case are you in?
PAlso doing bottom intake top exhaust helped a lot for gpu temps for me, at least in the nr200

Xon windows ive been fine without having bottom intake and ive had this PC for 4 years, but on bazzite it's an issue

G80c is warm for a 2060, but with in spec (max is 88c)
GI would not worry about it.
