i did see the reviews/specs it's a good upgrade from prior version but nothing fancy. higher BW, higher version of USB, PCle i thought of buying one but then i realized that i have a lot of unused SBC,
i had noticed few people stating that it overheats a lot and would require an active cooler
Good points! And about pi-gen-micro. I'm expecting it something to replace the use of Lite version. Have you ever tried using it? Hoping to get my hands dirty with it soon
yes, I use lite version and then install the necessory packages. Now for me it would be interesting to find out what does tiny means in tiny embedded operating systems for regular users
I am working on this remote instrument , this instrument is to be desinged to be set up in remote location (stand alone) . So its battery powered , i am planning to use 4g gsm module to upload the data on the cloud , but i am facing power consumption issue . As the device is designed to send data every 1hr , it will be on sleep mode majority of the time , but when i need to send data , gsm has to booted up . But during the boot time the gsm is pulling a lot of current ( came to know its a common issue with gsm ) . Is there any alternative iot solution that i can use ?
