Styling feedback: shirt, denim jacket, chinos

So this fit was somewhat inspired by what I saw in the first few pages of Take Ivy, where I saw a picture of students in a smart shirt and chinos, and I thought I could replicate that yesterday.

As for the items, this denim shirt was given to me as a gift a few days ago, and the shirt was also given to me for work, but I've not used it for work yet.

There is a version of ivy that in Japan got called “heavy duty ivy” which blends preppy with workwear and outerwear. This is leaning towards that in my Opinion .

You could have them like that if you were generally going for a very oversized/delibratly sloppy look. Given your general vibe I think I'd either cuff them or get them shortened slightly

I think the issue I've had with a lot of my trousers in the past is that I mainly wear Converse shoes, and the length of them covers up the patch on the high tops

this doesn't matter. You want your trousers to have a nice drape, rather than sizing for the branding on a specific pair of shoes.

mess around with cuffing them and see if you can make them look better to your eye. You can then consider getting them tailored (or learning to hem trousers yourself, it's fairly easy if you have access to sewing kit).

I know I've got a sewing kit at home, the last time I got trousers hemmed it was £13 and took a week so it'd be interesting to see if I can do it myself.
