FRhino has arrived soon to be tested 
BHi guys, any tips for setting the Rhino up for the F-4 in DCS? I'm finding flying level and air refueling a complete nightmare. The aircraft seems so unstable in pitch and much too light for my preference. I've set the FFB gain in the F4 special options to 200% for roll and pitch but looking for something better. Any tips?
FDo you have adaptive recentering active in the configurator?

FThat setting is a must for keeping the stick centered and helps with straight and level flight and autopilot.

BThat was much better. Thank you. Managed to plug in instantly and stay plugged in. It handles much better now. I wonder what else I can change to make it even better.
BI'm curious if you utilize their nice looking extension (Tianhang) with your Rhino. I need to figure out how to make that work - just ordered both of them. Too nice looking to pass up. Maybe I'll need to install that Rhino throw limiter...
ZI do, just know that its not an exact 1 to 1 replica of the real extension, but still really nice.

BLooks great. I am curious how close it will come to my center console in my pit, but I’m not pushing forward on the stick often so likely ok. Thanks for the pics. I’m excited to make the change.

IFAQ states that Rhino produces 9N of force which equates to 5 kg of force. Any conversion table I looked up states 1 N =0.1kg so 9N =1 kg of force. So I am curios about how math was used to calculate 5 kg of force from 9 N of force? Thank you!
HWhen converting torque into force you need to take the lever into account, which is < than 1m and therefore amplifies the force (/.2)

HHow much pull force in kg you get depends on the overall length of your lever. (Axis of rotation to middle of hand)

H(also a bit of smartassing: Newton is the unit of force, kg the unit of mass. What we really mean when we talk about kgs in this context is the equivalent force that a mass of 1 kg excerts in 1 G, which is ~9.8N) 
Fto add: you're missing the m in the 9 Nm. This means torque at an axis. To go from torque to force you need to divide by the length of a lever, in this case ~.180m. or 18cm. So in this case we get 49N at the grip. This is ~5kg

VCan I buy a board +license without motors? I already own a Rhino, and I want to build another one (dont ask). I already have the motors though, I would just need a controller. The one on the website is really cheap and is listed as "replacement", so I assume this is meant to replace an existing board if it breaks, iow, its just the PCB without a firmware license. Im fine paying for the firmware, its what makes this stick magic, but Id rather not pay for 2 motors I dont need. Can I order a "kit without motors"?

VSeriously? Thats going to be one cheap rhino. You should charge more for the board+firmware. Do I have to / can I change firmware settings to configure which motors Im using, or if I decide to build a rudder first, that its a Z axis controller?

VMay be an idea to make that a little more clear. Also, I dont see spare motors listed, if these motors are customized, that may be required one day. Or if I want to upgrade to stronger ones. I suppose shelling out 25 euro for a new board as well isnt the end of the world though.

A@walmis I have been contemplating about this too. I have an exsting VPForce 86BLF03 setup. Could I transplant its electronics to a generic 86BLF04 motor, or is it not compatible?
WNo it would break the motor profiling/calibration. Each driver is tuned to the specific motor
