Diggles: The Myth of Fenris

Game gets to menu, eventually, but trying to play and I think even menu will eventually lead to a game crash and a error. When this happens my cursor is froze up and I have to use keys to get over to heroic to close the game.

I see some stuff on protondb to try but maybe you folks can tell me which of these instructions I should pay attention to

same thing happens to me, I don't think there's a fix (I haven't found anything)

Seems like the game runs with Wine-Staging, although getting that on Flatpak will be difficult

I tried with wine-staging and it crashes the same for me

also, wine and wine-staging have issues playing cinematics and videos (the intro credits for example), only proton seems to play those

Hmm maybe I did something in my ~/.wine~/.wine prefix that makes the game work. Worked fine once I ran it with just wine Diggles.exewine Diggles.exe

Might you please investigate what your trick was? Perhaps you used some of the instruction on protondb?

@CommandMC I have tried with Proton and Umu and this game is still not working for me.

btw "wine Diggles.exe" (well actual address of Diggles.exe) causes
0114:err:winediag:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated. Make sure that ntlm_auth >= 3.0.25 is in your path. Usually, you can find it in the winbind package of your distribution.
