turned off loopback. No buttons work now. Reset the Rhino to Factory reset. Started from scratch. No loopback. Reflashed the grip. All of the buttons show as working in Configurator and the VKB software. Nothing in DCS.

Is there a way to check the VKB Adaptor version @walmis - my order shows the MK IV/Rev C. If I got the MK III/Rev B sent by mistake could that be why my Gunfighter IV isn't working? Do I plug the adaptor directly into my USB hub (powered)? Does it matter which connector the grip uses into the Blackbox? (I've tried both - it doesn't seem to matter).

I don't think you would be able to plug the Rev.C into Rev.B, though you need to connect the adapter into the "stick" socket, not the "bus" one.

In DCS you should have the grip as separate controller

Rev B and Rev C are very distinct, rev C is like a headphone connector - you wouldn't be able to plug a revC grip to a revB adapter.
If VKB software shows as working then the adapter is fine. Are you running the Loopback application if you wish to pass the button presses to the Rhino firmware.

it is showing as its own controller, but buttons/axis for the grip still don't work. I'll try it with Loopback again after I dig out of an inch of ice that fell overnight. Thanks for the help guys

I own a competing Moza product, AB9. I joined this server yesterday, looking for information on how FFB forces work in War Thunder in Direct Input mode. I see that not only AB9 users have a similar problem with the full cooperation of this game with their devices. I have been struggling with this problem for over a week and looking for a solution, unfortunately to no avail, but I have some interesting observations, so if anyone here would like to talk about it, I invite you to the discussion.

For diy kits (Motors and main board) there's no wait time since they are usually in stock. For the other parts you have to either 3D print them yourself or you can order some pre built parts that are offered here and those take a few weeks to source, print, assemble and ship to you.
