yes, you can reverse it front/forward, you have to reverse the in-shaft connector in rhino

for example, I reversed it, because I have a regular seat without the cutout in the middle, and my seat slider's handle is in rhino's way, I needed the shaft to be as close to the seat as possible

if you're planning to do it, I would ask walmis to install the connector reversed, it can be kind of a pain in the ass to do it yourself

you can see the process here, sadly I did not have enough slack in the cable to pull it out like that without unplugging, so I had to unscrew the entire grip connector from the shaft, slide it down, plug, and back up

I just flipped mine around for the same reason (wanted to get it closer to seat) and had an oh $hit what have I done moment when the cable disconnected and slipped back down into the shaft. Then I found can just push the cable back into and up the shaft and reconnect. ez.
