Just got this thing set up with configurator and TelemFFB for the first time. Dumb question: does the stick not behave like a conventional spring base and want to go fully back to center if you stop pushing? I feel like I'm holding it in place in a large dead zone until there are g-forces to push me away.
I apologize if this isn't the right place for this sort of question, but is the Rhino's base heavy enough that I wouldn't need to bolt it in place with a 200mm stick extension? or must I plan to have some way to fasten it to the floor?
Can someone tell me this is correct for the VPforce configuration part, because I'm having a little trouble, and it's to use the Vpforce rhino for dcs?
- remove belt - manually set min/max to 0/4096, Apply - enable spring, motor will center - put belt back on with stick centered on axis - Run auto calibration, apply, store
Center doesn't need to be exactly 2048... just need to be sure that the range of motion is within 0->4096
Would it be good to design or 3-D print a jig that keeps the stick dead center for this process is probably not needed but could be helpful almost like 2/2 squares like a coupling that slides into the plate or someone has a degree limiter installed.
There's also a section on how to install the limiter. TLDR: it goes under the dust cover frame, unscrew the 4 screws holding it and slip the limiter underneath then screw them back on.
