Can’t open player file

The tag present in the reparse point buffer is invalid

If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on

tModLoader

tModLoader

in the library, then hover over

and click on

Browse local files

. In the folder that appears find

tModLoader-Logs

tModLoader-Logs

and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the

Never seen that error before, and you didn't post the logs yet, but it sounds like the player file is corrupt so you might need to restore a backup

Ok, I think this is something to do with the OneDrive folder. I googled "The tag present in the reparse point buffer is invalid" and there are various suggestions from microsoft support to try to fix it. It doesn't seem to be a tMod issue, but a file system issue

Or maybe if the folder is bad, copy the files out, then delete the folder, then copy the files back in. I'm not really sure, it's not something we've ever seen
