We got a bunch of alerts last night as well, and couldn't find any issues wrong with our Postgres instances so assumed it was Hyperdrive. Any chance these can be added to Cloudflare status in the future so it's a little easier to tell if its our fault or not?

@AJR hey. Needed a little help with scaling hyperdrive.

We currently use Postgres with neon and we are currently hitting connection limits (1M requests per minute). We’ve plugged in hyperdrive and got it working but will occasionally hit connection limits.

Any pointers?

This is probably due to enabling client cert security on the DB which Hyperdrive doesn't currently support, see Great news!, I was trying to test it

Hey, I'm trying to create a Hyperdrive instance with a Render Postgres DB. I paste in the connection string (which works when I connect directly to it in my code), but I keep getting status "inactive" in the dashboard. I tried both creating through the dash and with the wrangler CLI, and didn't receive any errors or anything. If you were able to create the Hyperdrive config you're good to start pushing queries through it! Active vs. inactive on the dashboard just means that it has been used in the past 24 hours

For local development, you have to use a local database. You can also do local development with npx wrangler dev --remotenpx wrangler dev --remote, where your Workers are run in Cloudflare and that will allow you to connect to your remote database

any chance someone on the hyperdrive team can give the folks working on the cloudflare vite plugin a gentle nudge. while wrangler dev succesfully polyfills everything required for mysql2 to run, the cloudflare vite plug in doesn't. my best guess is this is due to unenv not handling safer-buffer https://github.com/unjs/unenv/issues/486

From the Cloudflare Dashboard everything is "Active" (Hyperdrive) and "Healthy" (the Tunnel) and cloudflared also is runnign without any log output. But workers connecting throw:

Any clue where to start debugging this? The MySQL server is doing fine and nothing has changed on my end (I was asleep when the incident started). But I expected there to be some visible fault somewhere

I cannot for the life of me create a hyperdrive connection to my Neon PG DB. It is always stuck in "inactive" and returns an error when attempting to use it "SERVER_ERROR: NeonDbError: Server error (HTTP status 530): error code: 1016"
Is there some black magic I need to perform on the Neon side of things (because the hyperdrive side seems super simple)
