BTT Octopus DFU not detected

Hi again everyone. Still working on my issues with the printer (wish I could go back a few weeks with it). Got the Pi working and into the configurator. Selected my V-Core 3 400 and on to BTT Octopus V1.1 Need to upload firmware, so used the DFU option and did as asked. Bridged the two pins as shown and hit ruset button. DFU was detected so removed the short as recommended and hit the flash button. Said it was flashing for a short while, and then got a DFU not detected error. I cannot proceed at this point and am a bit lost in progressing hte upgrade of RatOS etc. Any help would be really appreciated. btw, my Octopus board still had all the wiring conected to it if that makes a difference. Thanks

Are you able to flash the octopus manually with the SD card?

That is my option now. Unfortunately, I have to disconnect everything to do it - but I do have labels on all the wires at least from when I built it
