So this means the spec should require libvirt and be renamed to be libvirt specific not just “dx-services”. Right?

I guess. It only contains libvirt workarounds, so it could be ublue-os-libvirt to install (via Requires) the package and workarounds

Yeah, it's just a new package that isn't being included by anything right now. I'm happy to rename it to be more libvirt focused or change it to whatever makes sense

"dx-services" name suggests it's used to install everything on DX - Docker, libvirt, vscode etc. Making the "dx" images pretty much dnf install ublue-os-dx-servicesdnf install ublue-os-dx-services
This is only libvirt-workarounds, so IMO it should either be named "ublue-os-libvirt-workarounds" or manage the installation of libvirt itself

ok, I might just be dumb. I completely misunderstood what distrobox was actually for. I kept viewing it as a "pet base" tooling, forgetting that it can be used to speed up the creation of container based "toolsets" that need to tightly integrate with the host.
