I want to know just the simplest way to display some glbs from tiltbrush with all their shaders. My friends idea is just to have QR codes people will scan and it’ll open up a site to show a model tied to the specific QR.
After I posted here I tried to use the threejs shader extensions in the project I had already but I struggled with the brushes textures (I’m not much of a web dev). I saw there was the gallery and maybe I could just upload the models there but I saw it’s closed. So I noticed I could start over with the icosia viewer used in the gallery. Largely got it tweaked for my needs save the navigation, which I’m struggling with.

it should use the camera info exported via the glb.

I’ll ask her how she feels about hosting in the gallery. They’re something like 6 or 8 models. At least it’s a backup plan if I can’t get it working.

You can also host on Icosa as "unlisted" and embed the viewer via an iframe

@andybak I did manage to work it out. However I did find that when trying to use a transparent background some of the shaders don't seem to like it. I tried tweaking my configuration maybe I was doing something wrong but idk. Maybe it's an issue with the shaders or a limitation of THREE.js ?

Same issue we had with Passthrough blend basically, i saw it too when trying to make an AR viewer for Icosa a couple years ago

Pretty sure I've viewed most brushes in AR mode on Icosa on the Quest.

Yep - you were right. When I try the viewer with Open Brush stuff in AR mode I get the same. Our shaders don't work properly with AR passthrough.

@Hyper - they seem to work fine with other elements in the scene. It's just AR passthrough that doesn't work. Can you explain what you mean by " transparent background"? Transparent in relation to what? Are you overlaying a three.js on top of other elements in the page? Or are you overlaying various parts of a three.js scene?

Yes overlaying the three.js on top of other elements in the page, specifically a video feed from a camera. Setting the background to null in the scene initialization. Half the shaders don’t seem to handle the transparency properly in that situation.

I hadn't spotted this because usually Open Brush scenes have a skybox that hides passthrough. We'll take a look but it might be a couple of weeks away.

That’s alright. I worked around it by having my friend change some of her models. Then it turned out the deadline has been extended a month so I thought I’d ask in the off chance the issue might be resolved and we could use her initial designs.

My expertise is in Unity, so C# and modeling, game design etc. Have only dabbled in JavaScript a bit.

Have done a handful of things with Unity webGL but not with webGL directly

You could probably do a Unity WebGL build of the sketch using the Open Brush Unity SDK
