Black screen in Manjaro KDE Plasma
When attempting to run telescope to run stardust flat, I just get a black window. When running it in a headset - both as a plugin through envision and by running telescope when connected via wivrn without envision, I can see the hexagon launcher and move and open it, and can open apps through it - however, while any app opened with the launcher does open on the computer, not all will display in the headset. The settings app opens, for example, while firefox does not.
Thank you for your time.

firefox will open inside stardust if it's not open on your flat desktop, tho it might freeze stardust based on how up to date firefox is, but there is a workaround
It already was open on my desktop, but opening it from the hex launcher opens a new window on the desktop
But that new window can't be seen from inside stardust
and it's not the only one, other options in the launcher that open a new window or shift the application to the top on desktop include envision, steam, and discord
yes, if you close it on your desktop and then open it again it should open inside stardust
some apps prevent having multiple instances open at the same time, even across desktops
opening it with the hex launcher opens a new window of it on my desktop
even if firefox is closed beforehand
nevermind
xkill'd it and it worked then
however, I cannot interact with the window that opens
uuhhh hm, idk honestly, can you still move it around? are you trying to interact with it through touch? iirc firefox displays as a layer on top of the window so you have to poke through that layer
I can move the window around and resize it
but i can wave my hand - or the icon displayed by the controller if I switch to that - through it at any point of it and it doesn't react
hmm weird, idk sadly, @Nova any idea?
sounds like another smithay bug
add it to the pile
would that explain the black window when I try to run telescope without a headset, too?
uhhhh hmm idk that might be a general gpu problem
with stardust
I have a rtx 2070 and version 570.144 of the proprietary drivers
yep nvidia bugginess
we're fixing that with the bevy refactor
I really need to get a new, non-nvidia gpu...
ah well.
Thanks again for your time
we're fixing it software side right now
