Legacy: Steel & Sorcery guaranteed to hard reboot PC

Tried it with Proton Experimental, GE-Proton10-5 and even Proton-9.0-4. Only Proton Experimental showed the video clips right during the intro screens.
Once it gets to the end of "compiling shaders" it hard shuts down. Powering up the PC doesn't work - and needs to have the power "dissipated" - holding down the power button while the PC is turned off.
