Questions about (AMD) PC to TV connection

So I just want to have a few questions clarified as I keep finding contradicting answers online. I’m about to build a PC hooked up to my TV to replace my PS5 in the long run. As I already own the Deck I thought I’d get everything on one platform, haha. The PC will have the Ryzen 7 7700X and the Radeon 9070XT. The PC will be connected to the TV via HDMI and is a LG OLED C4 77“. So here’s what I’d like to know. 1. Is HDR supported? 2. VRR seems to be out of the question but I thought I’d still ask here. 3. How reliable is the sleep function? 4. Can I have a wake system via controller set up? 5. CEC also seems to be out but again, thought I’d ask. 6. I have a 5.1 surround system with Dolby Atmos support. Anyway to set that up, or should I just stay on 5.1? 7. I‘m also gonna have to put in a WiFi chip onto my motherboard. Are there known issues with those? Any I should avoid? That should be it for now, haha. Thanks to anyone who’ll help out!

I have the same TV and running an 6800XT via eGPU to my Rog Ally X, so there are some similarities in our cases. 1. Yes, HDR works fine on my end and looks amazing on that TV. 2. Works for me, I can see on Game mode on the TV that the VRR is enabled and fluncates based on the scenes. I can also notice the smoothness once I enabled it. Make sure you use a good HDMI cable. I have returned 3 until I settled on one that works with HDR/VRR/eARC (its a 5m one because my cables need to go through the walls to get to the TV) Keep in mind that the OLED does not like VRR a lot, so there will be flickering in dark scenes. I keep VRR off by default and enable it on a game basis. Also, 4:4:4 does not work if I recall correctly due to not having HDMI 2.1 but 4:2:2 is working and I don't think I can notice the difference. I play at 4K so not sure how that works for lower res. 3. 100% reliable. Although the eGPU setup is a bit tricker on my end you should be perfectly fine. 4. You can via bluetooth. I have managed to get it done on my device and have some instructions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bazzite/comments/1hnpzo1/comment/m48xld8/?context=1 6. Dolby Atmos does not work on my end. It shows up as 5.1 PCM but still sounds great. I have a Sonos Beam via eARC.

Hey thanks a lot for all the answers! I’ve got a great 2.1 cable so I should be safe with HDR. I can love without VRR, just thought I’d ask in advance. If I can get 60fps with HDR I’ll be more than happy for the start! Also great to know about the Bluetooth wake up function! Sad to hear about Atmos, but 5.1 is also great. Won’t be missing out too much, haha.
