The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition (GOG) not starting

Running Current Bazzite on a ROG Ally z1 extream using Flatpack. After starting Skyrim and select Play game Exits. looking on the internet others claim the error in the log file can be fixed by fixing the Wine libs using packman, since I am using bazzite and flatpack, I don't think this fix is possible.

Strange thing is this game did work under SteamOS under HGL but not with Bazzite on the same device.

Hey it looks like the log file you posted was trying to use WineGE - GE Proton 8-26. Could you try changing it to Proton - Proton GE 10-10 and post your logfile?

Are you trying to launch from within Steam, or from desktop?

In Heroic, for the Skyrim game settings try un-checking to use Game Mode

I was using game mode, launching Heroic and then launching Skyrim. I tried launching Heroic in desktop mode and then Skyrim, same results. I also used Heroic "Add to Steam" option and it also had same result launching. I don't see an option to un-checking to use Game Mode, please describe this setting location.

Game Settings > Other > Uncheck Use GameMode

The other thing you could try (while in desktop mode) is adding Skyrim to Steam directly

Steam > Library > Add Non-Steam Game

Set compatibility to Proton GE

Steam's Skyrim Version does work in Steam. Just GOG Skyrim version does not work Heroic or Steam.

I don't need it to work, I also own a Steam version, just reporting a Bug. Five of my other games worked under SteamOS and had similar error logs when running Heroic under Bazzite.
