Has anyone seen "Failed to determine file size" when using Media Transform? We started getting this error for 100% of our Azure Blob Storage videos, same video uploaded to R2 works fine, video is publicly accessible, configuration worked a couple months ago and just started failing a few weeks ago. Images in the same blob store transform just fine.

I'm totally stumped, no idea how to even start debugging.

You would probably need to manually invalidate your cache. #workers-and-pages-discussions would probably be the best place to ask about this, I'm not sure there's much control over caching from within Images itself

It's all videos hosted on Azure Blob Storage. The same video works if hosted on R2 (we actually upload the exact same source to both platforms, so guaranteed identical).

And yeah, same URL construction between Azure and R2, doesn't change if I monkey with the params to be for sure under e.g. the duration limit.

Correct, last verified success was in early June, we don't have metrics on when it stopped working unfortunately.

Yeah, same deal.

My hail mary guess is that it has something to do with Azure not returning Accept-range: bytesAccept-range: bytes header by default, even though it does support streaming, and Media Transformations relying on that header now

And yeah, no changes to the origin config, triple checked it, same behavior if I remove the origin restrictions and allow all origins

Yeah we are actually doing that (part of the June work was to duplicate uploads between both as we progressively migrate away from Azure Storage) but still need it for old stuff

When I upload 580x400 16.6MB video to Cloudflare stream and then use "Direct download" to pull it down again I get 522x360 800kb video. There's quite a bit of quality reduction

Same quality reduction is when I stream it at highest HSL quality

Anyone else seen something similar? Are then any quality flags or something that can change?

Oke, found it. CF Stream turns everything to lowest step
470x470px video will be turned to 360x360

1000x1000px video will be turned to 720p etc

Since 470x470 isn't enuf to have 480p video, so it gets turned down to lower step

Steps seem to be
240p, 360p, 480p, 720p 1080p (and maybe 4k?)

Ive had downloads get stuck at 99% a few times before, but never stuck at 101%

Iice_cap im getting anywhere between 5s and 60s before it is playable

Is it still processing perhaps? Check the pctCompletepctComplete field of statusstatus and see if its done processing

Hi everyone,
I’m using Cloudflare Stream as the livestreaming feature in my Django project. It works fine, but I noticed that when the internet drops and reconnects, the livestream recording gets split into multiple VODs.

I’d like to automatically merge all the split VOD parts into a single file (from first to last) after the livestream ends.

Has anyone implemented something similar?

Should I use FFmpeg concat directly, or normalize each VOD first (in case of different codecs after reconnects)?

Any Python/Django script examples for automating this would be really helpful.
