_In Valence Bond Theory (VBT), my teacher only showed the overlapping of the last (valence) orbital. But in Molecular Orbital Theory (MOT), he explained that all corresponding orbitals of one atom combine with the corresponding orbitals of the other atom, and each such pair forms one bonding and one antibonding molecular orbital.[atleast from what I have understood] , does it work this way?

IIn valence bond we have learned about hybridization, jisme only the valence orbitals participate and form hybrid bonds alongside some pure bonds, wahi in molecular orbital theory all the orbitals be it or the valence shell or any shell they all participate
