Would being a larger/wider body type ruin this style?
I really wanna wear baggy flared jeans, Balenci strikes, Lv skates, Futures, fur hooded zip ups and stuff but I feel like its only for ppl who look like they are from a Jaded london ad. Im 6’1/2 and around 85-90kg with quite a wide shouldered frame. Would this style suit me or should I not rlly go into it because it wouldnt suit my stature?

No
to clarify, no meaning that body type would not ruin this style
you'll be more than fine
there are like 10 other factors that would ruin it tho
What are the other factors
I wanna be more Archive/Slightly Gothic but not too crazy
not even gonna look at the pics
answer is no
All these models and ppl who put ts on are like 50kg and 6’1
not true
okay well other people may have worn this and not taken a picture
there are big dudes on this server who wear balenci sneaks
dog you’re literally asking “can someone who isn’t skinny wear jeans a t shirt and sneakers”
its not abt the shoes, more the way the clothes fit and stuff
wear clothes that fit then
even if so YOU like it and that's the point, even if you don't resemble the typical person wearing it
you wear the clothes that fit you in a way you like. Sizes are a lie.
yk them flared jeans n shi tho, if i got some juicy ass thighs then itll look weird no?
no
i want a pair of baggy flares so bad
you and i weigh about the same fucks sake
try them on jake
buy a large enough pair of pants and the flare will be proportionately larger
try the pants on before deciding you're sized out of them
size up if you don't want them skin tight. Wear a belt if that means the waist is loose.
yeah if you buy jeans that are too small in the thigh
if the sizes go up that high the intention is for someone to wear them
Its kind of hard to try them on tho, Cos i order online mostly cos where im from id have to travel like 2 hours to get some good stuff
giant corporations aren't gonna burn money for no reason
So im looking for wide flares rather than some slutty 26 waist ones
- measure pants that fit how you like (horizontal waist, rise, inseam, leg opening)
- search online for flared jeans
- look at measurements, compare to the ones previously obtained
- buy jeans
- wear fit
literally the fast fashion brands have infinity terabytes of data and data scientists doing this work they know what sizes people buy
wanna cop some balenci lost tapes but they dont rlly seem wide enough
the xl+ sizes aren’t there for fun
ok balenciaga streetwear is largely cool but derivative and up charged
so perhaps buy the reference or a similar cut in a size that works
okay but are there numbers supporting this
id buy from ig brands but i kind of want my stuff in the next year.
dog
fashion is largely vibes but this is one case where you literally can go off of numbers
what is the precise problem or question
“can you wear this” yes
“will it look bad” only if it looks bad for any of a thousand reasons
“i want balenciaga” ok
this thread is ummm
chopped
don’t buy from stupid fuckin ig brands
did not mean to reply to that answer but here's some suggestions for reputable alternative denim to balenciaga.
well for balenciaga ravers
specifically
hes been asking about baggy pants for 9 months
the reference for flares probably isn’t tripp nyc
just close the thread lmao
has he really
yes
11/21/24
real talk
if you think the style suits you, you're right
if you don't think the style, suits you, you're right
you have the tools to be successful here good luck have fun
@Jake just buy some fuckin cos baggy jeans in a couple sizes man
or weekday if you’re in the eu or uk
return the ones that don’t work
don’t drop $600+ on some shit you’re not even sure of
Ive got baggy jeans lmao, this isnt about baggy jeans, its more about the actual style, this style isnt baggy, its flared and shit
Ive had plenty of baggy jeans
ok maybe don’t experiment with $500+ jeans?
if you don’t think it’s your style?
Perhaps you can put the fit in and post pics of it o
For specific critique
sorry what waist size are we talking about here for reference sake
you have the collective wisdom of 72000 hours of dorks looking et clothes in this thread and you’re banging your head against “i want expensive pant i’ve never tried the style of before”
he he’s 6’ 200lbs dog
it’s like at most probably 36-37”
so like. average

normal sized man: im massive
every fucking time
carrion you should buy these
idk if my creamy thicc juicy thighs will fit
if everyone gave carrion a dollar they could buy $1400 of balenciaga and $14000 of doordash
I did
shit i'll spot kyn's dollar
anyway
no you posted a lay flat
And i bought them so what
Sorry I’m new here didn’t see
if the clothes fit you physically you can wear them see here https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1409926186116841536/1409928129140494498
yeah so clearly they make pants for people who are average sized lol
clothing styles are not dictated by body type alone, it's based on culture and lifestyle and shared values and various other things "status and culture" blah blah blah I majored in STEM
point is if you like the style that should be good enough to attempt it
ideally with flared pants that aren't $600 fr go on depop or smth
genuinely, does it take 2 hours to go somewhere you can try on these type of clothes? even if its not the designer stuff, like at least a fast fashion place where you can just try on a similar fit to see how it looks?
can’t you just order stuff and return it if it doesn’t fit
no one knows how clothes fit you except you because we don’t know your measurements or the measurements of the clothes
yeah i was gonna say, looks like youre in the uk so just buy from topman and return it
ah

yeah fuck this
or don't even buy it!
try them on, take a fit pic in the dressing room, post here asking "do these fit"
i was gonna say this is very high school coded but i didnt want to be mean
Man this question was answered in the first message, no, just try stuff out and see what works
ok
done here
use your brain please
piss
these shoes are ugly btw
it’s ok to be wrong jake
@Jake bro are u fucking kidding me you aren't even big shut up and buy the balnci

oh shit we're back
shoes ugly whole shit ugly spray ground ugl
this reminds me of the wannabe streetwear "designers" i knew in high school but with baggy instead of slim/skinny jeans
the style is fine, its trendy from like 2024 but whatever. The point is learn how to measure clothes and read a size chart it isnt difficult.
Look carrion if you live 2 hours away from shops in the UK this style will be in by about 2029.
