Firmware TPM 2.0 bug
After the latest patch, when launching valorant, after 2-3 minutes I get the firmware TPM 2.0 message, saying I do not have it enabled. This was on Windows 10. I tried everything, I went into bios, checked everything, TPM 2.0 was enabled and secure boot aswell. I typed in tpm.msc and msinfo32, both enabled. So I switched over to Win 11 and factory reset my whole PC, updated Nvidia drivers, windows updates, did sfc /scannow in cmd, but still, im getting the error message. Keep in mind, this only happened AFTER the latest update of valorant.

and yes, the specification version of tpm is 2.0

Enter bios
Change dTPM to fTPM
dont have that option
i checked
You have 10th gen cpu correct ?
yeah
You should have it
i checked under trusted computing, cpu configuration, security (on bios) and i didnt see it
Did you install the tpm chip ?
wym
i should install something?
Nvm your mobo model says tpm so I’m guessing it’s inbuilt into the mobo
Wait I’ll check sum
yeah its weird
might be a bios issue
if ur saying i should have the option to change tpm, then idk
it just might be a bios issue
but then again, this only happened after the patch
im 90% sure i didnt have the option before the patch so why a problem now yk what i mean
The thing is, ftpm -> comes from CPU
While dTPM -> are external chips, your motherboard has that inbuilt in it, and that’s active rn for you
And valo requires fTPM
so ur saying my cpu doesnt have tpm?
It does have
Can you enter bios and show pic in security tab
gotchu
1 sec

Show advanced tab

Show pic in trusted computing
I’m assuming it only has security device support
correct

Hmm show cpu tab and chipset as well rq

You might be able to remove tpm the chip actually
physically?
Yes, it should be a small removable chip
hold up ill send u a pic
of my motherboard
let me unscrew the case

i dont really see a chip
So i guess we are back to this :val_CAUGHT:

Just wait it out and see if this resolves for you as well.
alright ill just wait
thanks for trying to help man
1 alternative I can suggest is contacting your mobo manufacturer support and asking them how to switch to firmware tpm, since there is no option in bios + your cpu has ftpm.
alright thanks, ill contact them and lyk if they respond
lmk too
