And make sure vpn/firewall/blocking software is not causing you issues.

@Alanprime I am glad I bought one! The issues you faced I ran into similar items. Not a great first impression in my opinion. I am convinced whatever it ships with is broken in some weird way.

I mean I use a libra pi, they are great, they do have gpio but nothing says you need to use it.I also love orange pi, and rock pi's. @Demon Lord of the Round Table
