Stop chunks from loading

Hello, we accidentally had the chunk gen distance too high and now DH is trying to generate thousands of chunks, is there any way to stop it? I tried turning the generation off but turning it on brings back the thousands of chunks in cache which we want to get rid of

With this RD, the number of generated chunks is very normal
1024 RD = ((1024*2)+1)^2 total chunks = 4 198 401 chunks
There also has to be some offset cause of the different LOD sizes

Basically our idea is that we want to be able to see far away, the stuff others have built in the server that might be thousands of blocks away, but we don't want it to generate thousands of blocks around us, we just want to see what is already generated

If the Pre Existing Only mode still generates new LODs where no vanilla chunks are present, you will have to make a bug-report and wait for a fix
Have you run any other pregen that could have caused the vanilla chunks to exists?

Well, laod in with the generation mode set to Pre Existing on the Server, in a place you know no vanilla chunks exists, and wait, if stuff starts loading, something is wrong

Understood, because I noticed that when I teleported super far away the message wasn't there and nothing seems to be loading/generating outside of vanilla distance range

Usually this message says something like:

generating/importing x chunks

generating/importing x chunks

And

importing

importing

covers loading them from disc or requesting them from the server
IDK why it says generating, but it seems it the message is just incorrect
