fresh install fails to load desktop

Hello,
today I decided to switch from windows and wanted to start with a gaming setup.
I will explore options for my studies and development in future but I struggle to have fix my installation.

my .iso is called bazzite-gnome-nvidia-open-stable-live.iso,
so I decided to use GNOME and I have a RTX-4060 with Intel i7 9700K.

The entire installation-progress is fine but as soon as I reboot to log in and work with bazzite,
i am greeted with a dark grey background and have to use ALT+CTRL+F3 to get into the CLI for Login.

My Error-searches are unsuccessful, but i know that:

lsmod | grep nvidia

shows that the drivers are installed.

ls /usr/share/xsessions

is empty and

ls /usr/share/wayland-sessions

gnome.desktop gnome-wayland.desktop

shows, that 2 different desktop-files are available.

I couldnt solve it myself with the help of AI, so I hope to find the solution to my problem here

if you are able to log in to a linux VT, please have a look in journalctl -bejournalctl -be

Alternatively i would try to use the legacy-version, whichs filename ends with -amd64.iso instead of live.iso

the installer for the both of these is the same. the difference is whether it has the real desktop on it or just the installer.

i'd also like to suggest that you try the kde plasma version instead, but this is my personal preference

I read into it yesterday and I assumed that GNOME has some more compatability with some programs I might need later, i didnt know wether the desktop environment would differ from KDE in this aspect or if this is just for appearance and personalization options

gnome applications will work under kde, weirder third-party/proprietary applications tend to work better under kde

i think you may have installed bazzite in an unsupported way, and something has broken

you should not see DNF at all, but rather something like this

i'd recommend that you retry the installation of bazzite. make your usb boot drive using Fedora Media Writer https://github.com/FedoraQt/MediaWriter/releases/tag/5.2.9, and perhaps try the legacy ISO

Solution found:

installation-medium using the "LEGACY"-variant of nvidia-gnome.
Medium-preparation using the FEDORA-MEDIA-WRITER instead of rufus.
