It is basically like keeping the Worker open the whole time, so normal time limits apply and you're billed even when not receiving messages.

I found Apollo to be too bloated, I don't need any of their fancy cloud features. I went with GraphQL-Yoga (/common not /node), which is built on GraphQL-Helix which works great with the fetch request/response API you get in CF workers.

I haven't tested it extensively yet (not sure how well defer and stream work for example)
