What he's missing is the inertia from the control rods up to the servo boosters and probably a damper somewhere in the control run

So speaking of, if we ever get a helicopter in DCS with a friction only cyclic like a Bell 505 or H.125. It'd be really cool if the friction collar in game actually adjusted the FFB friction.

That would be hard to implement, since directinput FFB has arbitrary units, and with various FFB devices out there, there would be a need to have profiles and tunables.

How does the Rhino handle the high inertia of a warthog grip? I'd probably use my hornet grip once I can get my hands on a base but that's still fairly heavy.

I don't see any problems, you can tweak damping to prevent it from oscillating. I have a TM Viper, which is fairly heavy too. You can see the response from max deflection when activating it in my video:

also if @_slowmover means does the stick move when the remote pilot moves the stick then I would argue that it shouldn't because it could result in physical harm because the pilots are not in sight of each other and lacking visual clues about movement that you get in the real thing.

there is a problem with FFB and multicrew in the F-14. i tested it a while ago... can't tell if it's still happening. if you are the RIO and a human pilot takes control, your FFB stick will start moving too...
