I can't see a problem with dust, but time will tell :) The case itself is made from wood. The gimbal is 3D printed. For 57BLF motors it's fully sufficient. For 86BLF otoh the gimbal would be need to be metal.

It's made out of PETG, ABS and bearings (10 in total) + 4 external, bolts.
From my perspective these look pretty solid.

All in all this design in general is quite modular - the gimbal is replaceable, the drive system is reusable - it's the same as the DIY kits.

You could let it drift in dcs and fs2020 too by mixing in the aoa telemetry value which is accessible by the export.lua. Do you plan to get telemetry from fs2020 too ?

Check the FAQ channel. Design is not open source, but you can buy motors and electronics from VPforce and build your own gimbal like some guys have done. Check the Showcase channel for different designs.
