Sure but what generally style do you find visually appealing? A basic fit like this is easy shift into ivy if that’s what you’re going for

@dekema-the-rower sitting aside the way the pieces fit - what kind of vibe are you looking to hit with something like this?
As others have suggested, I think there’s a mismatch between the shirt and shorts. With these shorts I think a more relaxed fit shirt would be better or some shorter shirts with this shirt. I think you could also improve the shoes but that’s a longer discussion

Rain coats
@rej look for stuff with ventile cotton. Barbour did collabs with baracuta (Harvard jacket) and Kapitan sunshine (traveler coat) that would be up your alley

Alden pretty much never has sales - you may be lucky if J Crew slips with a code or if a retailer is getting rid of the last stock.
However, plenty available secondhand on eBay for 2-300 if you’re open.
