fwiw the download progress bar and metadata section is likely to go away in the near future anyway since all of this will be managed by OS native background uploading tasks rather than by the app itself

Memory usage also depends a lot on the format and resolution of the images. If it went through all the (possibly RAW) images of one camera and moved to more common and possibly lower res formats, it would have lower RAM usage and vice versa

The port for ML is normally 3003, not 2283. The specific error you’re getting though is a little weird. It’s trying to cast the host + port to an int, and the only int config there is the port. So somehow
IMMICH_PORT is evaluating to the host + port and not just the port19 replies

This error means the ML image is pretty outdated. The newer versions don’t even have a

I’d guess it’s something to do with your networking setup. Do you put thumbnails on the nvme or the raid1 drive? Putting them on the nvme would be better for speed as well

Yup, FFmpeg is in the container. The transcoding errors seem to be down to corrupt videos. The failures themselves shouldn’t be related to immich crashing or anything though

If you want to avoid that, it’s possible to cancel all the queues, run “missing” for thumbnail generation, wait for all the thumbnails to finish, then queue “missing” for smart search, face detection and transcoding
