Not sure what could be causing it, possibly Cubes Without Borders so you could try and disable that to see if that fixes it

Stop DH from generating?
So if its disabled and I have 12 chunks of vanilla render distance, it will only generate LODs inside those 12 chunks

Why is DH 2.3.x so ridiculously slow?
My guess is that the LODs generated from the 2.2 version you're using to test are incompatible with 2.3.2 and its just generating LODs again
