I feel like artist is not a great comparison bc they become more critically acclaimed once they find and stick to a style (even if it changes over time they usually stick to a theme)

I lived in the South when I first moved to America and was extremely perplexed by monogramming which these people put on absolutely everything. Could not figure out why grown ass adults had to put their names on everything they own like they're in 1st grade bc where I'm from you only put names on your things when you're a child and lose things at school
