Xbox Ally audio cutting out

Ive noticed this happen in a few games, Hades 2 and Hollow Knight, the audio seems to cut out in the left speaker then right speaker back and forth very fast and sometimes both, it only happens very briefly and the FPS doesnt seem to drop when this happens, Seems to happen at any TDP when theres a lot happening on screen...

Can no longer change desktop background

As of turning on my computer today, I started getting a Bazzite loading screen after signing in, and my desktop background is just black. I am currently unable to change my background no matter what I try, and the wallpaper engine plugin for KDE that I was using just completely disappeared. I redownloaded the plugin, but have no options to link to my wallpaper engine folder or change my background. For clarity, even if I try to just change to a normal built in static image, the background still...

MSFS X not loading

Bazzite was recommended for steam games and MSFS:X was on the list as working. So, I install bazzite, open Steam after install complete, download/install my MSFS:X and two things occur: ActiveSky attempts to run and it wants to know the location of MSFSX and when I point to /var/home/... it cannot see the .local and when I cancel no MSFS. I read, I try something and I get the disclaimer/EULA screens for MSFSX, I get a splash screen, but then the app stops running. I added the option for a log file, but it makes no sense. I really want off MS. I again read, I tried different proton(s) with same effect. The drive is not NTFS so, what can I do to trouble shoot and hopefully get this game running in Steam on bazzite....

Kernel panic after fresh installation

So there were posts about this error VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0) As far as I understand there was no other solution other than installing bazzite on top of fedora. When I tried to install it it gave me this error I tried installing it with ventoy, rufus and balena ether and none of them worked, after that I tried to install it in VM (in my case hyper V) and clone partitions from vhd fille to my nvme drive and it worked without any issues so there is a problem during instalation on physicall drive either bug with installer or with burning tools....

Newest update broke open VPN.

I've been using private internet access VPN for a few months via the import a configuration file method and its been working fine. Today after the update it stopped working. Rolling back the ostree fixes the issue until it auto updates again.

podman quadlets give pasta permissions error, but identical podman run command works.

I've noticed this since the F43 update, I can't find any issues filed against F43 or other upstreams (yet), but I kind of doubt this is Bazzite exclusive? I've been using ramalama to serve local AI models, I can use ramalama serve to successfully serve a model over default port 8080. Ramalama includes a quadlet generator, I've used this to export my most used config, and any time I try to start this service I get netns dir open: Permission denied, exiting from pasta. It doesn't actually matter what is in the quadlet, any thing that adds a --port xx:xx to the podman run line in the service causes a fail. I believe this is some SElinux labeling issue, I don't know what would cause a user to have permissions that systemd running as that user wouldn't have. Trying to figure out where the problem is coming from, if it's Bazzite only, all of ublue, all of Fedora, or even all the way up in systemd itself....

amdgpu: Ring gfx_0.0.0 reset failed

When playing certain games, my display goes black, computer becomes unresponsive, and I need to reset the my PC by holding the power button. The crashing only happens in certain games though (in the pic that is a crash from launching OSRS, but it also happens in games like Hunt Showdown and others). Games like PEAK and even using an application like Furmark it will run fine (OpenGL and VK are fine). GPU is a Powercolor Red Dragon RX 5700 (non-xt). It crashes with or without undervolting/overclocking....

EXT4-fs (sda2): shut down requested (2) So whenever i play Star Wars Outlaws, it crashes and i get this error message. Even all my Games crash after 5-10 mins. But mostly the games that are installed on the same drive as bazzite. (sda2) is a 1,1gb ext4 partition mounted in /boot. Has someone had this issue? Or is something wrong with my install?...

Razer Naga Trinity Middle Mouse Click problems (And probably all Razer mice?) SOLVED/Mitigation.

So if you're like me, you've been dealing with a broken middle mouse click. Works in windows, does not in Bazzite. So when I was winding down Windows usage, uninstalling apps etc. I removed Razer Synapse on Windows, and it broke middle mouse click IN WINDOWS. So i got to a hairbrained scheme. What if I modified the behavior of the middle mouse in Synapse to act like...THE MIDDLE MOUSE CLICK....

Unable to drag mouse pointer when right clicking after scrolling an uneven amount of times.

I'm running Bazzite on my laptop, and I have an optical mouse plugged in. It seems using the scroll wheel is bound to some sort of toggle which disables my ability to drag whilst holding down my right mouse button, so every time I scroll an uneven amount of times, it disables that until I scroll again. It's really annoying when I'm using apps that require me to drag with the right mouse button to move my camera! Does anyone know how to disable this key bind or turn this feature off?...

Putty and ttyS0 on current edition of Bazzite

Hey everybody, I 'm trying to connect to a firewall via serial console, I installed putty from the Bazaar but if I try to log in to the firewall the error message is "Unable to open connection to /dev/ttyS0: Opening serial port '/dev/ttyS0': Permission denied" I tried to add my user to the dialout group and logged out and in again "sudo usermod -aG dialout $USER", but nothing changed. I checked /etc/group and I'm only part of wheel, as per first installation of the OS I have experience with Linux, but it's the first time with Fedora derivates....

Having trouble installing anything NOT from Flatpak

(i should note that i'm relatively new to linux, i switched because windows 11 update bricked my ssd. that being said,) I keep getting the same errors every time I try and paste in the command and run it from whatever software I try to install, be it Wine or OpenRazer. I have literally no idea what I'm supposed to do. Can anyone help me out? edit: for anyone wondering the command i used to solve this, ujust install-openrazer...

openrazer can be installed from the ujust script, and using system wine is strongly discouraged, you should use a wine frontend like Steam, Heroic, lutris or winezgui instead (the former 2 preinstalled, the latter in bazaar) this page explains some more https://docs.bazzite.gg/Installing_and_Managing_Software/...

Discord videos not playing

Currently I'm experiencing an issue with the discord videos, when I press play, the first frame show up but nothing more, only the audio plays correctly. I have tried: - Restarting my PC. - Added these command-line arguments to the app:

Bazzite 43 breaks a lot of GNOME system extensions

It looks like a number of extensions from the uBlue COPR repository aren't up to date, which has unfortunately made many of them incompatible following this recent system update. As I'm new to Bazzite (and Linux), I'm curious if this level of incompatibility is typical when a system update rolls out. I don't mean to sound critical, I just want to understand the general expectations for updating the system. I use some of these extensions a lot (like GSConnect), how do you rollback an update?...
