How do I install open-webui?

It seems to be available before on an old version of Bazzite but now it doesn't exist. When I try to install it via pip, it complains about my computer having Python 3.13, when open-webui needs Python 3.11. Thinking of downgrading Python to 3.11 but that might mess up my PC. I also tried the docker version of open-webui and it works. The problem is that it couldn't detect the Ollama service I have running via Terminal. So I installed the docker version of Ollama ROCM, but that can't seem to detect my 7900 XTX AMD GPU. I can use the Terminal version of Ollama just fine, only the open-webui doesn't work....

Grey screen when trying to install bazzite gnome but got grey screen

As the title suggests, when I attempt to boot my computer using a USB drive and select my bootable ISO file, I encounter a grey screen. However, I successfully installed the ISO file in troubleshooting mode with basic graphics. Nevertheless, when I boot my system, I’m greeted with another grey screen. Could you please provide some suggestions or ideas on how to resolve this issue? I have an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti super graphics card....

Cannot type on keyboard, behaves like fn key is pressed

Hello, I have laptop ASUS U36SD, and as you can see on the photo, I have numbers on the right side of keyboard which are accessible via fn key, but when I pres "K" for example it will type "2" by default, so it behaves like fn key was pressed by default, which is nightmare to write, so I wonder how to fix it, I tried different keyboard layouts didnt help. I found this: https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/2028 and it didnt help either...

Plasma desktop blackscreen

Recently I have run into an issue where my plasma desktop opens to a black screen. No wallpaper, no panel, and I am unable to open up the right click menu. I can still switch desktops however and use the virtual desktop view to open applications I just can't interact with the desktop. This started when i was messing around with theming my desktop until everything suddenly broke and I tried to reapply a global theme but that doesn't solve my issue....

Fatal Error

Hi, I'm a new Linux user migrating from Windows 10. I'm trying to install Bazzite but constantly encountering the same fatal error. I went with the install by completely reclaiming all the space in the previous ssd where windows 10 was. Was there something I'm doing wrong?

Install packages (hypridle, hyprlock, hyprpaper) back

TL;DR Wondering how to get them back, and what’s the best approach. Hey I’m a bit new to bazzite and how to properly manage software installations, but I'm aware of flatpak, ujust, distrobox, appimage and rpm-ostree. Ive been using hyprland for a while, installed a while ago with a mix of some dotfiles and ml4w scripts, which of course added some other packages alongside and they were working for a couple of months; I assumed as it was a fedora version of the scripts there was some alias falling back to rpm-ostree....

Screen Résolution Issue in game

Hello, Currently, I have a game, Tales of Graces F (and perhaps others), that launches with a Steam Deck-like resolution. As a result, I only have one display resolution available, and the "borderless" mode offered by the game doesn't change anything. Of course, I don't expect to be able to play in 1440p — the game isn't designed for that — but, having been on Windows before switching to Bazzite OS, I know that there are resolutions better suited to my 34-inch screen. I've done some testing on my end by adding this command to the launch options: SteamDeck=0 %command%...

opentabletdriver shows two cursor position when moving the pen

I'm getting the drivers installed and it does detect my tablet but when I move around I get the issue where it teleports the cursor between two positions. I asked in their discord and they wanted me to install the .rpm instead but the issue persists even though it's a bit more stable. Could it be the filters or is something really wrong with the way the driver interacts with the system....

Bioshock 2 remastered blackscreen

Hi. Earlier today I updated bazzite through desktop mode system update and the the system settings in gaming mode. Previous to this i was playing Bioshock 2 Remastered just fine. After the update I get just a black screen but with audio in gaming mode. In desktop mode it works though. Anything I can do to fix this? Im using a gpdwinmini 2023....

Audio Drivers for Interface bugged after Fedora 42 Update

This is a bit of a specific one...I have a Focusrite 18i20 which has always given me issues on Bazzite, but prior to the Fedora 42 update it had been fine once I setup virtual sinks for the inputs and outputs I'm using. Post Fedora 42, I've been running into all sorts of bugs even though the OS seems to have better access to the device itself - I'm seeing more options for inputs and outputs than I had before. Has anyone else run into this or has a fix? I'm also wondering if my sample rate is messed up between my computer and the audio interface now, as I'm running into weird buzzing and almost ground issue like noise....

To anyone who follows - I was able to fix this through some extra configuration via alsa-scarlett-gui - https://github.com/geoffreybennett/alsa-scarlett-gui I thought it used to be on the flatpak store also, but doesn't seem to be now....

Intel i7-9850H + RX 6600 - Hangs at Updating kargs every update

Hey there, on my Intel NUC Extreme 9 with an RX 6600, I get stuck at Updating kargs basically every update. If I reveal the console, I see a bunch of failed services each time, as far as I can tell it’s the same services, but it’s still getting to the entry that marks the boot as successful. It will not continue, no matter how long you wait. The only way to proceed is to reboot either through CTRL ALT DEL or just hard rebooting. However, maybe every 2/5 times, I have to rollback to the last update to get it working again. Is there a reason this happens every single time? Something I can check?...

Solution:

This seems to have been solved by installing a fresh copy on a different brand of NVMe that I had. Old one (Samsung 960 Pro) just might have been failing in some way, or maybe just an odd PCIe bus quirk with my NUC board. New one is a WD SN750

VM passthrough w/ looking-glass not working.

Hoi, I'm trying to setup the virtulizations for my vm, though when I wish to add my dGPU to virt-manager i get the error that passing through is not supported on my system, its enabled in the bios and ive also ran setup-virtulization. Can i not use the dedicated graphics card using VFIO driver?

Oblivion Remastered completely freezes computer--worked before updating Bazzite?

I have been playing Oblivion Remastered the past two days and loving it. Today I tried to start it up, and the game completely locks up my computer to the point I need a cold reset. Aside from updating Bazzite (and Oblivion's recent updates), I have not changed or altered anything. Able to access the main menu, go to load up my file, but on the loading screen it very quickly freezes up (audio crackling too). I rebased Bazzite to a prior version and then a subsequent prior version but the freeze happens exactly the same way. I also tried to run Expedition 33 and it also causes the same freezing, but don't know if that game ran before now anyways. Overwatch runs fine. Haven't tried a lot of other games but will keep experimenting. This might not even be a Bazzite issue but can provide specs/data logs if any would exist for something like this to diagnose the problem or if this might be some sort of known issue I could not locate. Run a Radeon 7900 XTX....
