Doubt about Steam and 4tb m2
Hello there!
I just downloaded bazzite and I was wondering if there was a way to use my 4tb m2 for steam games BUT for WIndows and Linux.
And I also use that disk to store pics, videos, docs, etc, is there anyway to use it in that way? For personal and gaming on Bazzite and Windows

How do I install Xbox Extended controller support driver?
I want to install the extended Xbox controller support driver, but I don't see the option in my Steam Settings. Am I missing something?

How to enable microphone?
After some issues with my microphone, i went to system settings -> sounds, and accidently turned off my microphone. The entire row for input devices disappeared from sound settings and i don't know how to reverse it.
Anyone got any idea on what i should do?...
Horizon Zero Dawn controllers not working at all
hey all. For some reason, controller input broke for me in Horizon Zero Dawn and no mayter what I do, I can’t get it to work. I have an all AMD desktop with Bazzite game mode.
Even in game mode, no controller input is working. I went so far as to uninstall the game, erase all the compat files, clear the shadercache, and delete the controller config file and do a 100% clean install. I’ve tried with and without steam input, tried the developer-provided controller layout and the generic controller layout. Nothing!
I’ve even tried multiple controllers! I’ve tried my 8BitDo Pro 2 controller with the 2.4Ghz dongle, my Xbox One S controller over Bluetooth and wired, my Afterglow Xbox 360 wired controller, and a Switch Pro controller wired. It just doesn’t work!...
Microphone sound level changing automatically
As the title says, my microphone gain/sound level changes on its iwn randomly, sounding like I jyst suddenly moved very far away then back to mormal.
I have a Rode NT USB mic plugged directly into my motherboard.
This problem is also new of this current install, the first time I ran Bazzite that wasn't a problem but I am not sure if I installed a newer version than last time....
Solution:
so, after installing vesktop and going to set its permissions so I could send images I noticed it had a few more file access that Discord did so I added them manually and continued with Discord after that and at least tonight, no one reported the bug to me, I will continue testing, but could it be that one of theses actually fixed the issue?

What's better for restoring your home folder to a reinstall of bazzite
A tar backup or a clonezilla backup? And then I just cp -a everything

Switch 2 Joycons do not connect to Bluetooth
Hey! I'm trying to connect my switch 2 joycons via bluetooth. I assumed it would be as easy as pairing switch 1 joycons but it doesn't seem to be working, they don't even show up in the list when i try multiple methods of pairing the joycons.
I've tried just doin it via bluetooth normally, I've tried downloading joycond and using that before trying to connect it to bluetooth, I can't find any other solutions for this. Do switch 2 joycons just not have software on linux yet to make them compatible?...
Can't use portable hard drive
It run fine on windows side of things but when I load up bazzite and try to move anything from or too it it error out and says it can't write to it?
Abnormal slow boot time
Hi everyone. I'm kinda new to Linux and Bazzite in general. Just lately I hopped Bazzite to see how it perform on my machine and have been pleasant to the experience so far. However, one thing I noticed is my laptop booted into the main graphic desktop is very slow like about 30s and 40s. When I searching for the solution, some peeps advised to use
systemd-analyze blame and generate into a image. I have dracut-pre-udev.service which took about 9s. Is this normal?
Yet another wallpaper engine question
Wait wait! Before you link the "Did wallpaper engine brick your desktop" article, hear me out.
I want to use wallpaper engine on my tablet, not my pc, but since I dont currently have a windows pc, I need a way to connect to the steam app to load my workshop wallpapers.
The app starts fine on bazzite, and when I click the mobile tab I can see Bazzite on the mobile app, but after putting in the pin the connection immediately fails. Im 99% sure that the issue is firewall settings, but i dont know what I need to set to allow traffic through. ...
Power Off & Restart Not Working As Intended?
Hello,
On my OneXPlayer G1 with Bazzite, using the power menu "Shutdown" and "Restart" options simply put the device to sleep, 100% of the time. I play almost exclusively with a controller plugged into my glasses as a secondary monitor, which makes using console commands to shut down or restart frustrating.
Is there a way to find out why this is happening, and fix it? Alternatively, is there a way to put a shutdown/restart command as Non-Steam games, similar to the "Boot to Windows" one using ujust?...
Translating Bazzite
Hi. I'm stumped as where and how to contribute by translating software specific to (or developed by) Bazzite?
The thought of a coherent UI experience for those not fluent in English seems appealing to me.
Any pointers would be appreciated....
System Crashes
Whenever I game my system crashes, it closes everything and takes me to the login screen where I have to input the password 2 or 3 times to get back into bazzite.

New to Linux and Bazzite! GTX 1080 and Monitor Displays
Hey guys! I'm new to Linux and chose Bazzite because it looked the most user friendly, and since I can't edit the system files and screw things up it seemed the right choice! Mom and I have I have brand new system, except for my GPU which is obviously a gtx 1080. I installed Bazzite on moms new PC (exact same as mine, except no GPU) and plugged her hdmi monitor into the mobo. Her install went perfectly.
When I installed bazzite on my system, I installed the 1080, went to bazzite website to download the nvidia version of the OS, and began the install. I have one monitor and my TV for displays. I plugged all displays into the 1080, and there was no display. Confused, i put the HDMI from the 1080 into the mobo and it worked, however there was just a black screen when I was asked to select the language. I then unplugged the hdmi and displayport for my monitor worked and I could install bazzite. Now, I'm on bazzite desktop and it does not allow me to use my displayport monitor, the HDMI from my GPU does not work, and I can only use the mobo and TV for my display. Display & Monitor only shows one input and I cannot seem to be able to select my monitor. Any help would be appreciated!

Itch games not working on Lutris
I've trying to play some free itch games (voices of the void in this particular case) but every time the game is finished installing I get the same error, I have tried both downloading it from lutris and using the 7z file I got from Itch. The error is added in the post.
Any way of using steam input for emulators?
Currently when I open dolphin through steam input I can see the "evdev/0/Microsoft X-Box 360 pad 0" but opening any other emulators only shows the passthrough controller. I believe this is due to most emulators utilising SDL2 so is there anyway for steam input to be detected as SDL?

Can't enable HDR in games on Gnome 48 with wayland
I have enabled hdr in my display settings and tried a couple games and I don't have the option to enable hdr.
I'm passing in
DXVK_HDR=1 ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 %command% as launch options. I've tried Path of Exile 2 and Monster Hunter Rise. I've also tried gamescope and the options in-game don't seem to work.
I'm on an AMD 7800xt if that's relevant...Please update XONE to the latest version
