I am trying to use Bazzite as my daily driver for my desktop, as it is functional for the things i need. However, I attempted to use my USB webcam today for a zoom class...
bcache support removed?
In the latest f42 based version I'm seeing an error
unknown file system type "bcache" on "/dev/sda" and the drive I had set up is no longer mountedSolution:
Bcachefs will likely be left in a limbo except maybe die hard fans, and bcache is pretty much dead since bcachefs started development.
Bcachefs is supposed to be the successor to bcache, but the developer is very stuck up and likes to fight with other kernel developers.
My personal recommendation is to not touch either anymore, not even with a ten foot pole đ...

Pairing Wiimote
I am having trouble pairing an original wiimote via Bluetooth running Bazzite on my pc.
When I attempt to make the connection the system asks me for the PIN to complete the pairing. The arch wiki says this is due to BlueZ being compiled without including the wiimote plugin:

Getting hoyoplay to work
As the title says I'm trying to get the hoyoplay launcher to run, with the latest update the launcher gets rejected by steam and all compatibility tools and I can't seem to get wine to work properly. Any ideas?
How to remove a windows partition on Bazzite
I'm still fairly new to Bazzite and not used my windows partition for ages. Is it a fairly straight forward process to remove the windows partition and allocate the space back to Bazzite?
Glitchy screen only in KDE desktop
I just installed a 9070 XT and rebased from the Nvidia image, my monitors work fine on startup and the Lock Screen, but when logged in my center monitor is very glitchy. Side monitors work fine. Any ideas?

in display config, color accuracy has to be set to "prefer efficiency". "prefer accuracy" made the screen go wonky

I've recently bought a bigger NVMe to dual boot with windows, I don't have the luxury to have a second SSD at the moment so I'm trying to dual boot in the same drive.
I cloned my existing copy of windows to the new SSD and that's all working fine, but when I try to install bazzite, my drive doesn't even show in the list đ˘ ...

I tried both with and without ventoy
I think I managed to sus it though. I think it's an issue with my GPT partition from when I cloned my old SSD.
I opened the terminal in the installer and when I tried to mount the NVMe it would return a warning saying it was read only..I suspected windows at first, but then I booted my Pop_OS installer and I noticed that their installer was picking my drive and it's partitions but gparted wasn't.

I just layered virt-manager and used

Now every time I want to create a VM (Windows or Linux)

Bazzite wonât connect to internet
I noticed that my bazzite installation media wouldnât connect to the internet via Ethernet during installation, or after. It left me stuck on the steam login screen. Sometimes it would say that it would connect to the internet, but still not allow me to sign in and nothing would load.
Iâve tried both the home theater version of this, and the desktop version. And they both still wonât work.
My motherboard is a GIGABYTE Z690 UD DDR4 Intel Chipset....

My workaround so far has been direct kernel booting but apparently that's not a thing with Bazzite?
Any ideas? I'm just never getting any graphics even when skipping the grub menu by setting hidden timeout to 0...

Solved. Booting using UEFI seems to get rid of this issue.
Venus Vulkan
Hi! I have set up a VM with Venus (Bazzite as guest). With Debian as guest, Vulkan was detected just fine.
However on Bazzite it only tells me that there are no Vulkan capable devices and and games using DXVK fail to start.
Any ideas? OpenGL works fine....
Encryption with dual boot and separate EFI partition from Windowsâ EFI
Is there any way to install Bazzite alongside with Windows with turned on encryption? Selecting âautomaticâ partitioning isnât a solution, because then Bazzite installer uses Windowsâ EFI partition. With âadvanced customâ partitioning there is an error in Blivet, and it does not let encryption to be turned on.
Wi-Fi Issues (Legion Go). Can't connect to any 6GHz networks
I'm dual booting Windows 11 & Bazzite on a Legion Go. In Windows 11, I can connect to 6GHz networks. In Bazzite, I can't. I'm hoping there's a Linux expert out there that can help (please and thanks!)
I may just have to accept that my Legion Go will never be able to connect to 6GHz networks in Bazzite, but the Wi-Fi card is clearly compatible with 6GHz networks as it can connect in Windows 11 just fine, so it feels like there must be a fix for this somewhere. It's not a huge issue if it can't be solved, just annoying.
