Blank screen after rebasing to bazzite:stable on Asus laptop

Hi all, been using bazzite-asus for several months on my Zenbook 15. With Bazzite 43 dropping the Asus images, I rebased to bazzite stable using the command brh rebase bazzite:stable. However, after entering my luks password, I'm greeted with a blank screen. I can access tty with Alt+F2/3/4, but I can't seem to get to the login screen. What logs or further information do I need to provide to figure out what the issue is? Thanks in advance.

Screen brightness ctl lost after rebase

I recently rebased from Bazzite desktop to Bazzite DX to get Docker. In the attached pic, I am back to booting on the oldest version - 42.20250911 because in the later two (which are the -DX images) I have only full brightness. I cannot use them unless outdoors my screen gets so bright. HELP: Emulated game save files work properly on windows but not on bazzite, Switch Animal crossing

Okay, so I've been playing animal crossing new horizons just fine on bazzite, then I wanted to put other save files to play, and now I get a message as if the virtual switch no longer wants to accept these new files (or the original files) as healthy and tells me they're damaged and I have to start over. The crazy thing is that these files work just fine on the same emulator on windows... I have tried different emulators as well but no luck, I want to be able to play this game on bazzite because I have it on a handheld....

This is the message I get on linux (wich menas save file is corrupted but it's a lie) (I CANNOT play any of the files, nor the original file or the new file).

Steam Deck LCD do not boot up after today update

I apparently can't boot to a working UI anymore after doing a rpm-ostree reset and then an update. The deck boot fine, booting logs looks good, but as soon as the GUI should pop up I just get a black screen on both internal and external monitor. I've tried to switch to another TTY, which do happen but I can't see any other stuff on the display besides the initial prompt. Keyboard inputs do not get show up on the device at all, so I am at a loss on how to get out of this state. I sadly do not hav...

input-remapper stopped injecting with recent update

Have been using input-remapper for months now, simple Razer mouse with 2 side buttons, mapping them to shift_L and ctrl_l for quick action bar usage on MMOs. auto-loads on login/reboot and no issues until today. "ujust-update" today was all but 2 chunks, and afterwards input-remapper appears to be "working" except that in the preset you can see it's stuck in "Starting injection...". It sees my inputs, preset adds remaps just fine - just stuck on "injecting". "sudo pkill -f input-remapper" from the internet did not work...

tested with the last release, that works !

Really weird question about text files.

How do I create new .txt files with a right click in Bazzite? I'm strange in that I tend to write a lot, and traditionally my preferred program to write in was notepad. Not plus, not a .doc, not an .rtf, the original .txt notepad. Old-old school. Bazzite seems fine opening the files I already have, but I don't know how to make new ones....

don't need the \ s if you use 's or "s (touch ~/Templates/'Empty text file.txt')

Can't install bazzite, can't uninstall partition from windows

I was following the youtube guide but when it got to the blue screen i didn't get the blue screen, instead windows update interrupted it and booted me into windows 😠 I can't see the bazzite installation but on disk mgmt in windows i can see that its installed (I can see the 1gb and two 300mb efi as well as the 291gb i allocated for the installation. I can't uninstall the partition through disk management to try to reinstall. Is there a way to fix the drive, delete the partitions, efis etc and r...

Random (?) Freezes a bit after logging in

Like in title, the system works fine (except for my second display darkening contrast [goes back to normal after replug]) but after a few minutes the system freezes, the screen and everything stays on. 9070 XT Frame Gen Issue (Bazzite)

Hi, i am playing Cronos: The New Dawn on bazzite. I get 70-80 fps without frame gen which feels buttery smooth. When I enable frame gen my fps jumps to 120-130 but the actual visual smoothnes look like 40 fps. It feels like generated frames are not in between but duplicates hence the loss of smoothness. Both Wayland and X11 dumps core in gaming after random time (1h+) - Desktop PC AMD Radeon card

I've recently updated to Radeon 9070xt, rebased the system from nvidia-open to bazzite. Everything looked great, started extensively using the PC and ... ye every so often i get a crash while gaming. On Wayland it just hangs the system and i need to power off the PC to restart. So I thought it's Wayland issue. I've layered on X11, same thing happened - luckly this just boots me back to log-in screen. I've attached journal logs from X11 and Xwayland. I've also disconnected my second monitor (as i thought it might be the issue) - so that's not the case 🙁 Any suggestions? This might be a faulty card (as it's the new thing in the system) - if so, how do i check for that?...

Solution:

Tried to replicate the issue yesterday and today. Looks like it's gone, so it's either: - bazzite 43 update - unlayering X11 - swithing to different monitor (from old 144 to new 180Hz) - disabling vencord hardware acceleration...

New Bazzite install won't wake from sleep

Hi everyone. Just installed Bazzite on an older machine and loving it so far. I have noticed that when I put my machine to sleep, I'm not able to get it to wake. I've tried pressing the physical power key, using the keyboard, and using the mouse, but cannot get it to wake. Is there a setting I am missing here? The machine was able to wake up from sleep when it had Windows as the OS.

From what I have been reading it should be possible to have both Zram and a traditional swap at the same time, with the Zram taking priority, and then setting up things in grub such that when hibernating the swap is used (for obvious reasons)...
