Which download at bazzite website?
I use Intel Core i5 10400f and NVIDIA RTX 3070. So Intel works fine? Nobara and Endeavour sucks at starting Proton via Steam Launcher.
Need help in desktop mode and gaming mode switching on steamdeck after a bug fixing
So I had a problem of green lines on my video wallpapers in the wallpaper engine for kde. Not just that plugin but when i used to record the screen, the video showed horizontal green lines over a monochrome video.
I asked chatgpt, and the solution was to switch to x11 from wayland. There was a problem to get into the login screen after logout so I edited some files. I made a file for sddm config and installed x11 using rpm-ostree. The green lines issue is fixed and now the videos show properly.
But now whenever i boot my steamdeck, I get into desktop mode, no autologin and I can switch between gaming mode/x11/wayland but once I'm into desktop mode, I cannot switch to gaming mode or vice versa. I get stopped at the login screen. I deleted all the sddm config files but I don't want to switch to wayland, I want the plasma desktop oneshot to be x11 and have switching between gaming mode and desktop mode normal again....
Audio crackles and pops, rear jack doesn't seem to work at all.
What crackles and pops so far: USB DAC Asus Xonar U5 (always, horrible), Monitor out through DisplayPort (NAVI 10 card) (rarely and it goes berserk after wake)
What doesn't work at all: Motherboard rear jack connector for some reason (yes I selected it)
What works well: Headphone front jack, HDMI audio to TV (NAVI 10 card)
Since the system is immutable I couldn't try ChatGPT's magic. I am also a Linux noob and this is a leisure gaming machine thats why I choose Bazzite, also Windows is annyoing lately....

disable scaling in fullscreen apps/games on wayland
can scaling be disabled on bazzite so that when running a game fullscreen and at a resolution lower than the display the game will be surrounded by a black border instead of stretching to fill the display? I know this is doable using gamescope but im using an nvidia card and games frequently just lock up whenever trying to use it. I've looked around and can't find much about this. Most i've found is that on x11 using

So my steam deck display seems to sometimes have this sort of glowy weird dim applied to it whenever on desktop mode, it's really noticeable since I like to use it to play videos while doing something else on a 2nd monitor. I'm running the gnome desktop version.
Abysmally Slow Steam Downloads over WiFi
As the title suggests, I’m having download speeds as low as 2 mbps on my pc that’s running bazzite deck (SteamOs). Additionally it seems to also struggle with connecting to my router intermittently.
I’ve turned off wifi power management, and HTTP2, applied all the updates, and even messed with the motherboard antennae.
Not really sure what else to do as I’m a newcomer to Linux as a whole let alone bazzite....
Taskbar and background doesn't load
Hi, I've tried setting up wallpaper engine and when I selected a wallpaper the background went black and the taskbar disappeared. Restarted and still all black.

Legion Go and Steam button stopped working
Hi guys, I have a dual installation of bazzite + win11 on my Legion Go for several months now. I did not use the Legion for a few weeks, and when I turned it on recently, I did all the bazzite updates, and jumped to windows to do the updates as well, as I use to use both installations for gaming. When everything was finished, and I jumped back to bazzite, I noticed the steam button and the daemon windows was not opening when I pressed those special buttons.
Have you guys seen this behavior? In windows, the Legion space button works just fine, the buttons are not damaged or anything like this, it is really a software thing. One important information is that my windows updated the bios for the device, and bios 730 was installed. Honestly have no clue if that could be the cause, but I believe hardly an update on windows only would affect the bazzite installation. Do you have have any tip I could try to fix those buttons?

Disable lid sensor behavior for laptop in Bazzite Gaming Mode
Despite setting the lid switch to do nothing in Plasma, Gaming Mode still goes into sleep mode if my laptop is closed while connected to an external display.
Solution:
To fix this, I edited the
/etc/systemd/login.conf.d/deck.conf file to include the following:

HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=ignore...Steam Gaming Mode displays on wrong monitor.
The only solution I have found so far is going into the terminal and adding a setting to Gamescope but that didn't work for me. Desktop mode runs on the monitor I want Steam mode to run on which is my TV. Steam mode is only running on my 1440p desktop monitor.
NTFS files become lowercase
so today I learned that NTFS is case insensitive the hard way... by moving my files to it and they became lowercase. But I swear I did that before and that didn't happen. This happened on multiple external drives formatted as NTFS
Rog Ally proton 10.x controller not working after waking from sleep
Works for the UI but not for the games closing them and reopening them fixes the issue. Been having this issue since 10.x first released, I've looked it up and it was supposed to have been fixed by later versions but I've had no luck with experimental, latest numbered or any 10.x G-E. Also updated the steam client to the beta branch as suggested on the net but still no luck. Any other suggestions?

I'm at the stage where I need to create an auto mount point for the shared btrfs games drive I created but the guide has been removed. Is there another way to do this and how?
